Verification Procedures
Certification does not need to be current to qualify for credit. However, whether the certification is current may affect how a student will be able to obtain official documentation:
- Current credential holders can verify their credential online. Families Together in New York State has both a Youth Peer Advocate verification page and a Family Peer Advocate verification page. Students can submit a screenshot or pdf of their credential to admissions@sunyempire.edu .
- Holders of expired credentials may get credit by contacting Families Together at (518) 432-0333 ext. 18 and requesting that a letter be sent to the SUNY Empire Admissions office. Alternatively, students may request the letter by contacting YPACredential@FTNYS.org for Youth Peer Advocate Credentials or FPACredential@ftnys.org for Family Peer Advocate Credentials.
Evaluation Info
This evaluation applies to exams completed during a specific time frame. Refer to the "Begin" and/or "End" dates listed above the credit recommendation for details. Please note that credit recommendations and minimum acceptable scores may be different for other time frames.
